PRECONGRESS WORKSHOP (WS7): PATIENT SAFETY THROUGH SIMULATION

The Institute of Medicine (IOM), USA considers patient safety “indistinguishable from the delivery of quality health care.”
This simulation workshop for nurses on pediatric resuscitation is a comprehensive and interactive three-hour program which encompasses practical training in advanced pediatric resuscitation and crisis management. Participants will be exposed to high-pressure, realistic scenarios using the simulation technology conducted in an environment similar to normal working conditions. This workshop will be accompanied by debrief that focuses on behavioural skills, communication and team-work.
